The Lost Lines (Turgor)
Black Bat (Turgor)
a study of smashes – and maybe some splashes …

Hanna Hartman is renowned for taking no prisoners. Her electroacoustic compositions hit you straight to the ground and leave you there thunderstruck. With the utmost precision, she blows her strokes to eardrums, minds and bellies. This time, she takes to the ring at the Berghain Club in Berlin, supported by its famous sound system and by two ultra-hard-boiled audio fighters: Alexandre Babel and Theo Nabicht, both members of the Berlin-based Kammerensemble Neue Musik. Together, they will vibrate the ether with a composition in two rounds: One instrumental, one electracoustic – until the EBU referee rings the bell.

Having developed her very own language, the Swedish sound artist and composer Hanna Hartman creates compositions that are exclusively made up from authentic sounds which she has recorded around the world. Sounds are taken out of their original context and thus perceived in their purity. Hanna Hartman seeks to reveal hidden correspondences between the most diverse auditive impressions and in new constellations she creates extraordinary worlds of sound.
