PFA Orchestra is about the concert scene in Bucharest now and how to work into it research and development tendencies from the para-academic and independent-DIY field. Because an established orchestra cannot go there and it’s a long way to go, music-wise and organisation-wise.

PFA Orchestra was created in November 2015 at the initiative of long-standing local action-group for new music, Sâmbăta sonoră, with the occasion of its partnership with another highlight of the local stage, the Sonic Trans-Fusions spectral music festival. More precisely, PFA Orchestra was created out of the necessity to work with the composers Iancu Dumitrescu and Ana-Maria Avram, whom inspire us.

PFA Orchestra has already played at Tranzit.ro, Control Club, and the National Dance Center Bucharest. The orchestra will also play in the future for the Dada Centennial Anniversary, on the 5th of February 2016.

PFA Orchestra’s members: Andreea Tincea, Bogdana Dima, Cătălin Lungu, Cătălin Matei (Sillyconductor), Cosmin Postolache, Dan Michiu Dinescu, Daniel Stanciu (Minus), David Szederjessi, Diana Miron, Eduard Gabia, Gili Mocanu (Somnoroase Păsărele), Laurențiu Coțac și Marian Cîtu. Conductors & artistic directors: Iancu Dumitrescu and Ana-Maria Avram. Powered by Sâmbăta sonoră.
